Your photo, reimagined in fabric

The best Kinusaiga designs aren't just photographs divided into random pieces. They're simplified compositions built from intentional shapes that are beautiful to make by hand.

Why try the AI design route? AI can interpret the subject, simplify the scene, and make deliberate design choices—like turning a landscape into flowing hills, broad fields, and calm areas of color. You can describe the look you want and refine it conversationally. It is a creative design aid, not a guarantee of a perfect production template.

A note about the process: Your photograph is not sent anywhere by this website. You choose whether to upload it to ChatGPT. ChatGPT usage is subject to its own account and feature limits; this site does not use a paid AI API.

Trace your own Kinusaiga pattern

Fade your photograph, then draw the fabric-piece boundaries over it. Your lines are smoothed as you draw. Hide the photo whenever you want to inspect the clean outline.

A three-point straightedge appears over the canvas. Draw near it to snap your line to the guide, whether it is straight, stretched, shortened, or bent into an arc.

Turn this on to drag the two ends and the center bend point. Turn it off to lock the guide in place while you draw.
